Last December 23rd, for the third year in a row, our neighbors Garry and Marilyn Dennis and their friends brought Christmas to life in the valley west of Mulege. Garry dressed as Santa, passing out candy and hugs to the kids and abuelas. His sled was a flatbed trailer with Christmas lights and music. The look on the children’s faces was pure joy – aside from the occasional screaming baby. Even the dogs didn’t give chase to Santa’s Sled once they received their milk bone treat. Truly a Christmas miracle!
Sadly, this November our dear friend Garry passed away suddenly at home in Mulege. It came as a shock to all of us as he was a larger than life character. Quick to lend you a tool, offer you a hand, whip up a batch of Christmas pierogis, tell you a joke, sing an off-key tune, or join the dance floor. He is survived by his wife Marilyn and family and will be severely missed. Salud amigo. We love you.
Words never replace the loss of a dear friend! RIP Gary I will miss you dearly on & off the dance floor ???? And no worries we’ll be here for Marilyn as I’m sure you know !
